ELIZABETH (BETTY) MORRISON WINDER

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) MORRISON WINDER (Nee RODGER) Passed away peacefully May 14, 2000 at Central Park lodge at the age of 84 years. Betty was predeceased by her father James Whitelow Rodger and her mother Jane Whyte Rodger, nee Ross. She is survived by her niece Patricia McKenzie of Vancouver, B.C. Betty was a charter member of the St. Boniface, St. Vital Inner Wheel Club where she was Secretary, Treasurer and President, and was honoured with a life membership. Betty was born in St. James and there spent her younger years until her marriage to Len Winder, (who also predeceased her) when she moved to the Norwood area and finally to the River Heights area. Her love of travel took her to many wonderful places, Scotland, Greece, Spain, Mexico and Hawaii to name a few, and on some of her shorter trips was accompanied by her poodle Hugo. Betty was a member of the Wildewood Golf and Country Club where she curled and golfed. She also bowled with the Sr. John Franklin ladies Bowling League. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 2:00 p.m. in Garry Memorial Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the Jocelyn House, 177 Egerton Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2M 2W7.
