FRED DeCARLE It is with great sorrow that we mourn the loss of Fred DeCarle who passed away on May 21, 2000 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 72. Fred was born on December 28, 1927 in Winnipeg. He was the fourth of eight children born to Frederick and Mary DeCarle. Half brother to Joe and George Ricker. Fred worked for the Department of Corrections for 31 years, retiring in 1992. He will be remembered for his passion of fixing small engines and other projects. As well as his incredible love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Shirley; son Rick (Doreen) and daughter Lynda (Don) four grandchildren, Dawn, Jason, Tannis, and Andrea and four great-grandchildren, Josh, Regina, Kristin, and Brendan. He will also be missed by his great friends Les Sweetland and Ted Higgins. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Seven Oaks Emergency Department. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Committal Brookside Cemetery.
