EVERETT JONES With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and friend, on May 21, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. Dad was born and raised in Waskada, MB. He later moved to Winnipeg where he was employed with the Unemployment Insurance Office for 30 years. Dad was an avid curler and was a past president of the Victoria Curling Club. In later years he settled to become a spectator of curling and baseball. He was a member of Weston/Brooklands Legion Branch No. 2 where he enjoyed his Monday afternoon bingo. Dad was predeceased by his wife Iona, mother, father and brother. He will be remembered by his son Aron (Michelle) daughter Delia (Terrance) and his childrens mother Ardith; three special granddaughters, Ashley, Alexa and Elizabeth; brother Wayne Smith and family; other family members and friends. A special thank-you to the Homecare ladies, V.O.N. and staff on GD4 at the hospital. In accordance to Dads wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Legion colour party in attendance. Flowers gratefully declined, if family and friends desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Victoria Curling Club Junior Program, 948 William Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0Z8.
