MARCEL THEORET Peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2000, Marcel Theoret passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Eveline; children, Louise (Albert) Plamondon, Bernard (Lise) and Roger (Diane) seven grandchildren, Julie and Eric Plamondon, Christian and Stephane and Luc, Danielle and Brigitte Theoret. He also leaves two sisters living in Quebec, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marcel was born in Valleyfield, Que., in 1916. He married Eveline Delorme in 1948 and they moved to St. Adolphe, Man., in 1950, where he operated his own business until 1961. He later worked at the St. Boniface Hospital until his retirement in 1978. Marcel was a very active member of the Knights of Columbus since his youth, having attained membership in the Fourth Degree. He was extremely involved in numerous charitable organizations in which he volunteered countless hours of his time. Funeral services will be held at the Precieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 rue Kenny in St. Boniface, on Thursday, May 25. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral mass celebrated by Father Marcel Chaput at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens following the mass.
