DOMENICO AMATO It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Domenico Amato on May 20, 2000 at the age of 49 years. Domenico was born on October 12, 1950 in Palma Di Montechiaro, Sicily. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Eleonora and his first born Rosalinda in 1978, where they had their second child Lucia and Stefano. He not only leaves to mourn his three beautiful children and beloved wife, Domenico had numerous family members at home in Italy as well as in Winnipeg. He will be sadly missed by all friends who have been touched by his sense of humour. Domenico had a passion for cooking, crafting, singing and being amongst his family and friends at the cottage. He also had a talent for woodworking and was well known for his hospitality, sharing his wine and laughter with all of his friends. Domenico was always there to give a helping hand to all in need, always eagerly and unconditionally. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 26 at 8:00 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano Presiding at the Eucharist.
