GERMAINE MOREAU Peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2000 at the Manitoba Developmental Centre, Germaine Moreau, a longtime resident of the Manitoba Developmental Centre, passed away at the age of 82 years. Funeral service will be held at the Aspen Centre, Manitoba Developmental Centre, Portage la Prairie, on Thursday, May 25 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Ron Siemens officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Germaine was born on June 16, 1917, daughter of John and Marie Moreau at Notre Dame De Lourdes, MB where she spent her early years. In 1929, she became a resident of the Manitoba Developmental Centre. Here she took a passive role within the activities of the Manitoba Developmental Centre. She did enjoy walks outside and especially enjoyed pets and animals. She liked to watch the activities of the nursing staff and fellow residents. She will be sadly missed by the staff and residents of the Manitoba Developmental Centre.
