JOANNA ZACHAROPOULOS Peacefully, with her family by her side, Joanna passed away May 22, 2000 at the Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband Panagiotis and her brother Anthony. She leaves to mourn brothers Dino and Takis; sisters Paraskeve and Christina; her children, Nia, Dimitri, Toula and George; grandchildren, Panagiota (Joel), Thanasis, Joanna, George, Victoria, Tyrone, Jan, Leslie, Thomas and Panagiotis as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins in both Canada and Greece. Mom and Dad immigrated to Canada in 1967, made Winnipeg their home, and settled down to raise their family. Joanna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great friend to everyone who knew her, and will be sadly missed, especially by her grandchildren, who were very close to her. A prayer service will be held Thursday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway, with Father Dimitrios Gianniou officiating. A reception will follow in the Voyage Reception Centre. Funeral services and interment will take place in Greece. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Anastasiades and the wonderful staff on 4 West at the Grace Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined.
