JUDITH ISOBEL MACKENZIE (nee HAMILTON) With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Judy, in the early hours of May 21, 2000, at St. Boniface Hospital, after her long struggle with cancer. Predeceased by her mother Olga in 1968, her memory will be forever treasured by her husband Murdo, her daughter Kimberley and son Matthew. She is also survived by her father Frank Hamilton (Wanda) of Mazenod, SK; her brother Ian (Janice) nephews, Andrew (Lorna), Christopher, Michael; and niece Amanda; Uncle Gavin (Wilma) Hamilton; Aunt Woneetta Hamilton; cousins, Geoff, Murray, Scott and Margaret Rose; and families; and numerous cousins in England and Scotland. Judy was born in London, ON on October 30, 1948 and moved to Mazenod, SK where she spent the first 14 years of her life. During this time, Judy was an active member of the local 4-H Club and enjoyed all aspects of rural life in Saskatchewan. Judy enjoyed returning each summer to the Hamilton farm throughout her adult life. Judy moved to Winnipeg with her family in 1962, where she attended Kelvin High School. She was a loyal, devoted employee of Sears, Polo Park, working at a variety of administrative positions cumulating in the position of Supervisor of Customer Service. Judy was very proud of her membership in "The Sears Twenty-Five Year Club." The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the special kindness and support given by Sears and Judys co-workers. The family would also like to acknowledge the many individuals who cared for Judy during the past two and one-half years, including Dr. Gwen Kalansky, Dr. Andrew Cooke, Dr. Harvey Schipper and all the staff at the Oncology Department at St. Boniface Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 25 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place on the Hamilton farm at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it was Judys wish, due to her life-long love of animals, that donations be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 9Z9. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
