Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER EDWARD GRAPKO On Sunday, May 21, 2000, at the Maples Personal Care Home, Alexander Edward Grapko passed away at the age of 72 years. Alex will be remembered by his four children, David, Darryl, Gloria, Douglas and their mother Freda; his four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Alison, Harmony and Daniel; his brother Michael; his daughters-in-law, Geraldine, Margaret and Jennifer; his sisters-in-law, Rose, Sophie, Arlene, Sylvia, Wanda and Aline; his brothers-in-law, Joseph, Jerry ,Pat and Paul; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Alex was predeceased by his parents, George and Helena; his brothers, Nick, John and George; his sisters, Marie and Michelene (Lef) his father-in-law Sigurdur; his mother-in-law Stefania; his brother-in-law Edward and his sister-in-law Margaret. Alex was born in Winnipeg on October 10, 1927 and grew up in the Point Douglas area. He will always be remembered for his fondness of sports, especially his passion for hockey and horse racing. At his request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff at "The Maples" for their compassionate care and kindness. Flowers are gratefully declined.
