HILDA SAWCHUK (nee LacQUETTE) Hilda Sawchuk, age 75 years, passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at the Victoria General Hospital. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Walter September 3, 1999; her parents; brothers, Eugene, Edmond, John, Henry, Lloyd and sisters, Mary-Jane and Maggie. Hilda will be lovingly missed and always remembered by her two sons, Wallace and Kelly; four daughters, Linda Lavallee (Angus), Shirley Gretzky (Bernie), Rose Sutton (Tim) Rosemarie Ponchak and spouse. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, George (Pearl), Louie (Malvina), Joe, Don, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Special thanks to ICU at Victoria Hospital and Heather from Central Park Lodge for all their care, kindness and compassion. Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday evening, May 25 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 26 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Rest in Peace, Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma.
