MICHELLE LOUISE CORBETT (nee WALSH) It is with heart felt regret that we announce the death of Michelle Louise Corbett (nee Walsh) born November 29, 1961. She was predeceased by her mother Gemma Walsh (nee Simard) in 1981. Her passing is deeply mourned by her children, Ryan and Sean; by her father and stepmother John and Patricia Walsh; her sisters and brother, Suzzanne (Randy), Danielle and Jean-Pierre (JP) (Kim) her stepsister and stepbrother, Christine (Barry) and David; her nieces and nephews; her relatives in Quebec and Tasmania as well as her many friends in both Winnipeg and Calgary. She was born and lived in Niagara Falls, lived in Cali, Colombia, in Winnipeg and after her marriage, lived in Vancouver and later in Calgary. For the last two years in Calgary Michelle has been in a positive and courageous fight against cancer. She has had continual support from her sister Danielle and all her friends both in and out of Calgary. The support she received from the nurses and doctors at the Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary has been fantastic and the family wish to give our thanks to all the personnel for their continual concern and assistance. For her friends in Calgary, a memorial service was held after cremation took place. The Memorial Service was held at Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23. For her friends and relatives in Winnipeg, a memorial service will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 29. It was Michelles wish for everyone to give the gift of life. Please become a blood platelet donor, and/or become registered as a bone marrow donor with the Canadian Blood Services, 777 William Ave., R3E 0Z3.
