MARY HALABICKI Peacefully, with her loving family at her side, Mary passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at the age of 90 years. Mary was born in the Ukraine in 1909. She came to Canada at the age of 16. She married Roman in 1927 and they were happily married for 53 years. Mary was a warm, loving and caring mother and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed looking after her home and garden but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Our family is blessed to have had so many wonderful years with her. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Roman, in 1981. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory her daughter, Rose Taylor and son-in-law, Bill Taylor; grandchildren, Richard (Christa), Mary (Ron) and Bill (Charlene) and great-grandchildren, Ricky, Terese and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Goshulak; nieces, Annie Romaniuk, Nell Mazur and their families. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Holy Family Nursing Home (St. Pauls Unit) and Seven Oaks General Hospital Emergency staff and the staff of 5U5. We would like to thank her family doctor, Dr. B. Lei, for the years of care he gave our mother. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. A private burial will be held at a later date.
