Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANKLIN LARRENDON ROBERTS Frank died Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at Grace General Hospital after a struggle with heart disease and the many medical problems which he fought over his latter years. Frank was born in Winnipeg, October 7, 1915. He served overseas in the Canadian light artillery and fought from 1940 to 1945. This experience profoundly affected his life and how he viewed it. He is survived by his loving wife Isobel of 52 years; his son Frank; daughter-in-law Diane and grandchildren, David and Anne Marie. Though he contended with various medical problems and spent a considerable time in hospital, he was known for a dry sense of humour, which he was able to find even in difficult circumstances. He had a great love for animals, particularly two black Labradors and he delighted in seeing them respond to his attention. The family wishes to thank the Home Care staff at VON nurses who faithfully cared for him over the past two years. Their efforts and the kindness they showed made it possible for him to spend this time at home where he loved to be. We are very grateful to the wonderful staff of Tower 7 at the Deer Lodge Centre where he had resided since February. Finally, we thank the caring staff of Grace General Hospital, 2nd floor. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 29 at St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St. at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
