HARDY ERWIN MATZ Hardy Erwin Matz passed away peacefully in the early hours of May 26, 2000. He was 72 years of age. Hardy lived a life rich in experiences. After great personal loss, he came to Canada to build a new life for himself. Hardys values lent him strength: his respect for the dignity of all people, the generosity of his heart, and his strong belief in the caring hands of God. Throughout his life, even to its end, his faith kept him content and at peace. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 29 years, Trudy; his son Mark; his daughter Gitte; sister Lili and her husband Ernst; cousins, Lucian and Regine; nieces Barbara and Sonja; nephews, Dan and Dirk and his dear Cindy. Hardy would wish to thank the staff at GD6 and MICU at the Health Sciences Centre for their dedicated care. A celebration of Hardys life will take place at St. Peters Lutheran Church at 65 Walnut St. on Tuesday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that friends make a donation to the Cancercare Manitoba Foundation, 100 Olivia St., R3E 0V9 or to the St. Peters Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 65 Walnut St., R3G 1N9.
