MARIETTE SMITH Longtime resident of Winnipeg, on May 20, 2000, at the Purdy Pavilion, of the UBC Hospital, Vancouver, B.C., at age 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Smith; and loving mother of Ralph (Marie) and Jack. Dear grandmother of Susan, Sheila and Janet and great-grandmother of Kathleen, Henry and Claire. Survived by her sister Eliane; niece Rose Rost of Winnipeg and several nephews. Special thanks to the Extended Care Unit of the Pavilion.
