VICTOR GEORGE ALEXANDER MANSON Victor was born on May 14, 1927 and passed away peacefully on May 22, 2000 at the age of 73. He is survived by his devoted wife Shirley; his stepdaughter Kora (Rocky) Boyles of North Carolina; his brother John (Lee) and niece Joyce of Toronto. Victor was a kind and gentle man who loved animals, particularly cats. He had many interests and hobbies including CB and HAM radio, photography and stamp collecting. His greatest achievement was restoring a 1970 MGB sports car after his retirement from Standard Aero in 1989. He also enjoyed travelling with his wife, especially to Scotland where he met with relatives and visited the towns where his mother and father came from. Victor became ill in 1995 and struggled with Alzheimers and Parkinsons diseases. A very special thank you to the staff at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home for their kindness and gentle care, cousin Addie who faithfully visited Victor every week, and to niece Charlotte for nursing Victor with love and affection during his last days. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Rev. Roger Lowe officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends and family so desire donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, 120 Donald Street, R3C 4G2 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, R2L 1X3.
