DARREN VINCENT DOERKSEN It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Darren Doerksen, age 32, on Friday, May 26, 2000 at the London University Hospital. Darren was a wonderful Husband and Father, who touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be sadly missed by his wife Rochelle and daughter Hayley of Birds Hill, Man. Darren was born in Winnipeg on February 19, 1968. He grew up in Winnipeg and Saskatoon and settled in Winnipeg where he became involved in the family business, Seven Oaks Painting and Decorating. Surviving besides his wife and daughter are his father Edward (Regina) of Winnipeg; brother Eddie (Betty-Lou) of Winnipeg; sister Sherry (Terry) Rye of Saskatoon; sister Stephanie (Mike) Pacheco of Winnipeg; step-sister Sheri (Wayne) Merritt of Winnipeg; father and mother-in-law, Albert and Simone Sobie; sister-in-law Kathy Sobie; brother-in-law Brent Sobie; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Travis, Brayden, Amber, Andrew, Tatiana, Devin, Dylan and Shayne; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his mother Joan in 1972. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall Centre, 227 Lakewood Blvd. Mr. Raymond Wieler will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to "the trust fund for Hayley Doerksen" care of CIBC Seven Oaks Branch. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
