EDITH ANNE GARRETT (nee HAGEN) Mom passed away peacefully on May 27, 2000 in the Victoria General Hospital after a long illness. Mom was born on March 1, 1913 in Grafton, North Dakota, immigrating to Elfros, SK at an early age with her parents and siblings. In October 1938 she married Arthur Wilbert Garrett. Mom worked for the Great West Life Assurance Company, first on Main Street and later on Osborne Street. She retired in 1978 and she and dad routinely traveled throughout Canada. Mom had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. She also liked her bingo, the odd trips to Club Regent and was ready for a good game of cards at anytime. She is survived by Wayne (May) Garrett, Kathy (Robert) Didomenicantonio, Barbara Garrett, Colleen (Jack) Cassidy, Maureen Garrett, Duane (Donna) Garrett, Len Garrett, Jason (Joanie) Garrett, Erin (Daryl) Zazula, Marilyn (Bruce) Stewart, Betty-Anne (Joe) Resendes, Shannon (Adrian) Kelly, Bruce (Sharon) Stewart; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one sister Mildred Snell of Watrous, SK and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Arthur Wilbert Garrett; daughter-in-law Marilyn Garrett; grandson Derek Garrett; two brothers Henry and Clifford Hagen; three sisters Mabel, Margaret and Myrtle and by her parents Casper and Victoria Hagen. At moms request cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in moms memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, R2L 1X3 or to St. Amant Center, 440 River Road, R2M 3Z9 REST IN PEACE MOM THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
