STEVE MALSKI After a lengthy battle with kidney disease, Steve passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2000 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon, MB at the age of 82 years. Steve was born on December 15, 1917 at Fraserwood, Man. He was raised and spent his younger years in the Fraserwood area. Steve worked for CP Rail in Winnipeg most of his life, retiring in 1981 and moving to Gimli. In 1995 he and Olga moved to Teulon, where he spent many leisurely happy hours with friends and neighbours. Steve was a gentle natured man with a magical sense of humour, that never failed him, even in his last days. He had the ability to always make people laugh. This ability assured him a vast variety of good friends throughout his whole lifetime. We will miss him, especially his little dog Angel. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Olga; step-daughters, Judy Andres and Irene Stabner (Fred) of Teulon; his precious grandchildren whom he deeply adored, Linda Stabner (Mitch) of St. Andrews, Shelly Koback (Lorenzo) of Williams Lake, BC, Todd Stabner (Joyce) of St. Andrews, Skipp Stabner (Betty) of Faulkner, Man.; two great-grandchildren, Scott and Sean Stabner; two sisters-in-law, Anne Shymkiw of Winnipeg and Kay Kuz of Gimli; many nieces and nephews, whom he enjoyed many great times with; also many friends and neighbours. Steve was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Kathleen; brother Bill and sisters, Mary Ann and Francis. Cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service according to Steves wishes. VICHNAYA PAMYAT The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. McTaggart, all nurses and staff at Hunter Memorial. Also Dr. Henry and Dr. Allen and all of the dialysis staff at Health Sciences Centre, St. Boniface and Selkirk Hospitals. A very special thank you to John and all of his drivers who made sure he always got to his treatment and gave so unselfishly of their time.
