Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS CYRIL RIDER With deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Thomas on May 26, 2000 at the age of 64 years. Thomas will be lovingly remembered by his wife, of 42 years, Christina; children, Diane (Vince), Tim, Donna Braun (Terry), Brenda Camire (Brad), Christine (Ron), Samantha (Arnar) and David (Tammy). His much-loved grandchildren, Trevor, Brandy, Christopher, Anthony, Nicole, Nicholas, Devon, Joseph, Shyla and great-grandchild Hayleigh. Brothers and sisters, Bud (Shirley), Ann (John), Marj (Don), Melvin (Ina), Murray (Barb) and Gerald. He was predeceased by his father Harry; mother Mira; brother Robert and sister Gypsy in infancy. Dad was born June 6, 1935 in Aylesbury, Sask. He often talked about his childhood with fond memories. He left Aylesbury to join the army. While stationed in Winnipeg he met and married Christina. He retired in June of 1999 from the City of Winnipeg. The family gratefully thanks the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for helping make Dads final days a little more bearable. In keeping with Dads wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Salvation Army Church, 324 Logan Ave. at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 29. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Society, 100 Olivia St. Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
