HENRY PENNER With peace of heart and knowledge that his work was done, Henry Penner quietly passed away with his family at his side. Henry, a loving father and husband, will be remembered as a man of strength and courage to his family, relatives and many friends. His determined struggle with cancer ended on Friday, May 26, 2000 at the age of 51 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd., S., Portage la Prairie, on Tuesday, May 30 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Oakville Cemetery. Predeceased by his parents; brother Jake Penner; sisters, Agatha Banman and Katherine Giesbrecht, he leaves to mourn his passing his wife Linda; sons, Lorne (Janet), all of Oakville; Bradley and fiancee Junie Omand of Winnipeg. Also surviving are two brothers, Issac (Esther) of Winkler; Martin (Jacklyn) of Winnipeg; sister Anne Hiebert of Winkler and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation prior to the funeral service. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Sunset Palliative Care Inc., Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A7 or the Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524 Fifth St., S.E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8. The Omega Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
