JAMES GOSSELIN It is with deepest sorrow and regret that the family of James Gosselin announce his peaceful passing at home with them by his side May 27, 2000. Jim was born on October 22, 1939 on Section 31-4-14, Baldur, Manitoba, in the family home. He came to Winnipeg as a young adult and went to the Beverly School of Fine Arts (as he called it) where he met many of his life long friends. Shortly thereafter he met and married Marie in 1963. Jim was a proud father and husband, and never tired of giving himself to his family. He enjoyed the times he spent camping, fishing and hunting with his friends and family. Jim loved animals, especially his cats, Mitzi and Tux. Jim worked at Mikkelsen-Coward as a steamfitter for over 30 years until he was forced to retire due to cancer. He courageously fought this tragic disease but was unable to win the battle. Jim was predeceased by his father Russel and his mother Marjorie. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Marie; daughter Michelle (Germain) son Kelly (Laurie) brothers, Larry (Pat), Blair (Lavona) and sister Mary Anne (Bill) sisters-in-law, Pat (Gerry) and Diane (Fred) and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Cremation has taken place and a service of celebrating his life will be held in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Wednesday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Jims memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
