ROSE KITCHEN Rose Kitchen passed away peacefully at Neepawa General Hospital on May 26, 2000 at the age of 90 years. Rose was born in Mount Pleasant, MI in 1909, the daughter of William and Maude OBrien. She lived in Mount Pleasant until age 7 when her family homesteaded to Valpoy, MB. In 1939 she married Stanley Kitchen and together they lived in ten Manitoba towns. Rose was well known for the beautiful quilts she made. Rose was predeceased by her husband in 1988, and by her ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son Tom (Esther) of Medicine Hat, AB, and one daughter Michele (Wally Ross) of Fort Whyte, MB; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 1 at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow in Neepawa Cemetery. Whites Funeral Home, Neepawa have care of arrangements.
