Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHEILA BROWN (nee KENNEDY) September 11, 1935 - May 26, 2000 It is with great sadness that we must accept the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Sheila. After a brief illness, Sheila lost her battle with cancer on Friday, May 26, 2000 with her children at her side. Sheila will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Heather (Ted Williamson), Blake (Jessica Clark-Brown) and Karyn (Dave Foley), as well as her grandchildren, Amy and Steven Williamson, Cole and Olivia Brown. She was predeceased by her husband Herb. Others who will cherish her memory are her sister Helen; sister-in-law Ruth; brother-in-law Roy, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Sheila was an original member of the Heather Belle Pipe Band and stayed an active member in the alumni until the year of her passing. Sheila, along with her husband Herb, were active members in the Optimist Club of Assiniboia for 35 years. She will be sadly missed by the many friends she made in the club. She was also active at the St. Charles Golf and Country Club, where she met many friends in the "Niners" Ladies Golf League. Sheila worked in the community for many years, first at Westport Chrysler, then until her retirement at Canadian Tire. It is through all these associations that Mom met many dear friends. Special thanks to the nursing staff of Grace General Hospital for the wonderful care Mom received in the last weeks of her life. A memorial service will be held at Kirkfield Park United Church on Tuesday, May 30 at 1:00 p.m., 472 Kirkfield, (corner of Kirkfield and McBey), Colin Peterson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank all the friends that supported them through this difficult time.
