WILLIAM PETRUSH Peacefully with his family at his side, William (Bill) Petrush, beloved husband of the late Inez, devoted brother to his sisters, step-father, grandfather to Jean (Bob) Sparks and family, Vivian (Robert) Goodheart and family, uncle to many nieces and nephews, entered into eternity on May 28, 2000. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Inez, his parents, John and Anne Petrush, sisters, Helen Petrush, Mary Delaine, Teenie Navrot, brothers, Steve and Stanley. He is survived by his sisters, Nellie (John) Yakimow, Elsie (Charles) Zdrill, Margaret (Willy) Balagusz, Jean (Robert) Sparks and family, Vivian (Bob) Goodheart and family. Bill was born in Allegra, MB. In 1913 he left home at an early age to seek employment. Bill eventually ended up in Toronto, ON, where he was employed by Canada Packers for 35 years. In 1978 he returned to Beausejour, MB where he and Inez enjoyed their retirement. Bill had a love for music and in his younger years was able to play the drums, violin and clarinet. He also enjoyed singing Ukrainian folk songs. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the East Gate Lodge Nursing Home of Beausejour for their quality, tender and loving care that allowed Bill to die with dignity. A special thanks to Lara Sparks for her kindness and compassion and just for being there for Bill and Inez at the onset of his illness. Viewing will take place in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 31 at 10:30 a.m. also in the chapel with Fr. Mikhall Kouts officiating. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his nephews Ernie Yakimow, Gordon Yakimow, Kenny Navrot, Rodney Delaine, Rodney Zdrill and Martin Balagus. "TILL WE MEET AGAIN." ETERNAL MEMORIES! VICHNAYA PAMYAT!
