Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDR. NORMAN KESTER Dr. Norman Kester, 80, of Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, May 28, 2000 in the Tri-County Nursing Center, Hatton, ND. Norman Kester was born August 30, 1919 in Oak Lake, MB, the son of Theodore and Sarah (McDonald) Koester. He attended school in Manitoba including the virden Public School, Brandon Normal School and The University of Manitoba Medical School. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941-1945 as a Flight Lieutenant as captain of a flying boat on an anti submarine patrol. He married Margaret Evelyn Strang in Montreal, Canada on December 31, 1942. He worked as a physician in Wawanesa, MB from 1951-1966 and in rural North Dakota from 1967-1981. Survivors include wife Evelyn; sons, James (Connie) Kester, Minot, ND, Neil Kester, Kosovo, Bruce (Mary) Kester, Burlington, ND; daughters, Norma McCormick, Winnipeg, MB, Joyce Depoe, Vancouver, BC, Susan (David) Imbrock, Orlando, FL; sister Zen Judson, Brockville, ON; 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Services will be Saturday, June 3 at 2:30 p.m in the First Presbyterian Church, Grand Forks. Interment will be in Wawanesa MB, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 4. A family gathering will be at the Horizon Center in Wawanesa. Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks, ND.
