MICHAEL EDWARD ZDAN Mike was the youngest of 12 children born to Harry and Katherine Zdan on August 28, 1921, at McCreary, MB. Mike attended schoolm at Glen Budka School in Sunville, MB and went on to serve with the Canadian Army during the Second World War. For most of his working career he was a salesman for Henderson Oil. Upon retiring he spent a few years in the U.S.A., then did soe security work in Winnipeg. Mike volunteered at the International Centre as an interpreter for many years. He was also instrumental in the restoration of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Sunville, MB. Mike was predeceased by his sisters, Pauline, Doris, Eva, Victoria, Anne, Kay and Mary; and his brothers, John, Peter and William. He leaves to mourn his sister Nellie; sister-in-law Anne, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Portage la Prairie, MB on June 2 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Deacon Michael Strilec officiating.
