ELISA (BETTY) WENZEL Peacefully on May 30, 2000 at Concordia Hospital, Elisa (Betty) Wenzel passed away at the age of 85 years. She is survived by daughter Rita (Barry) brother Harold (Dora) sister Rosie and grandsons, Jeff (Susan), Curtis (Diana), Darren (Christina), Graham (Margie) great-grandchildren, Jerrol, Jenna and Samantha, and many nieces and nephews. Elisa was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 1993 and daughter Elaine. Elisa, together with Alfred owned and operated Caddy Lake Camp for 26 years. After their retirement, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and more recently she spent many hours knitting afghans for family and friends. A special thanks to Ruby and Steve Bosko, Bill and Jean Pollock, and Evelyn for their loving care over the many years. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Ave., with Rev. Richard Kruesel officiating. Viewing prior to the service with interment following in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care, 100 Olivia St. R3E 9Z9. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
