Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMINNIE (DOMICELLA) MARY GRENICK May 6, 1916 - May 30, 2000 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Minnie. She will be sadly missed by daughter Janet, son-in-law Joe, grandchildren, Jennifer and David; sister Nellie Sitarz and brother Leonard Twardochleb; niece and goddaughter Helen (Jim) Parker, Norbert (Lorna) Sitarz, Carl Sitarz, Richard (Elaine) Sitarz and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Marcella (1964) and John (1988) Twardochleb and husband Walter (1966). Minnie was born in Winnipeg and raised in Pine Ridge Village and went to Corona School. She married Walter in April, 1953. After Walter passed away Minnie went to work at Eatons till 1980. Throughout her life she had a strong Catholic faith. Minnie was a longtime member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Catholic Womens League, where she met and made many lasting friendships. She will be remembered for her sense of humour and most importantly her love of her family. A special thank you to Deer Lodge 3 West, Concordia Hospital, Dr. Carey Isaac for all their care, and to all her friends and family who were there for her at a very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave. R3A 1P6, or to the Arthritis Society, 105-386 Broadway R3C 3R6. Prayers will be said Thursday, June 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 300 Donalda Ave. Interment following in Elmwood Cemetery. He knew you were in pain He knew you might never get well Upon this earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you But you never went alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
