PEARL EDITH KOZAK (WOLOSKI) October 8, 1920 - May 30, 2000 Peacefully, on Tuesday, May 30, 2000, Pearl Kozak passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. Pearl is lovingly remembered and cherished by her daughter Jeanne Strutinsky, son-in-law Darcy and granddaughter Brie-Ann. She is also survived by sisters, Margaret and Peggy; and brother John; as well as many nieces and nephews. Pearl was predeceased by her husband John Kozak in 1998; her parents, Helen and Michael Woloski; sisters, Helen and Eva; and brothers, George, Peter, Bill and Steve. Mom was born and raised in the Mountain Road area of Manitoba and married John in 1950. A hard worker all her life, Mom had a strong will and determination that helped her through some difficult times. To have known her in her younger years was to have known a sensitive, caring person, a story teller with a sense of humour. She loved her family, and took great pride in her granddaughter Brie-Ann whom she spoke of daily with a Babas pride and love. Mom was happiest when she was working on a project in her home or her yard. Mom and Dad were partners and now are reunited forever in Gods loving care. Sincere appreciation is extended to the Home Care Staff, especially Ina, who assisted Mom while she was still able to stay in her home, to the D-5 Staff at Health Sciences Centre and to the 4E staff at Deer Lodge Centre who more recently tended to Moms needs. Our deepest gratitude is expressed for their understanding and compassion and the support given to both Pearl and Jeanne in the difficult times. Special thanks to our friends and family, for their support and expressions of concern. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Ave., with Rev. Fr. Andrew Wach officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A Mother never leaves you, She lives within your heart, She guides you and cares for you, You are never far apart.
