He is mourned by his wife Iris and their three sons, Robert, Timothy and David and three grandchildren, Caitlin, Matthew and Stefanie Petrachek, all of San Diego and his mother Mary Petrachek of Winnipeg, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends from Manitoba and California. Also by his in-laws Helen and Steve Kakuk of San Juan Capistrou, Al and Ina Dixon of Chase, B.C., Peter and Shelagh Pawloski of Winnipeg, Marion and Tony Kyshwiecki of Winnipeg, Dorothy Pawloski (Jack) of Winnipeg, Nell Milne (Albert) of Winnipeg. Many will remember him for his happy smile and sunny disposition, always cheerful, always friendly, always helpful. He was a good man who left us when God called him.
