GRACE ISOBEL BORBRIDGE Isobel passed away peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre on Saturday, May 27, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in December of 1998. Mom will be fondly remembered by her sons, Tim and his wife Janet, and their children, Gina (Don) Humniski, Brent and Amy; and Bob and his children, Bradley, Jennifer (Eric), Katie, Kelly and Mitchell. Isobel is also survived by her loving brother and sister, Bob (Dorothy) Moulton, and Anne (Jim) Crowe, both of California. She was predeceased by sisters, Vera Murphy (Kaslo, BC), Robin Reedstrom and brother Dr. Henry Boyd, both of California. Mom was born on January 28, 1912 in Medicine Hat, AB. At an early age she moved with her family to Mill Valley, CA, a place she always considered home. As a young adult Isobel moved to her uncles home in Keg River, AB where she met and married Harry. They resided in various Hudsons Bay Company Northern Posts for several years, moving frequently. Isobel never complained and moved wherever asked. Mom was a wonderful hostess and enjoyed the company of her friends dropping by, always making them welcome. In 1963 Isobel and Harry moved to their home on Borebank Street in Winnipeg. Isobel loved her home and back yard garden. In recent years Moms life was difficult. She was in ill health and dependent on oxygen for years. Life with her husband Harry could also be challenging at times. However Mom never complained and tried to cope as best she could. Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Isobels memory to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4. Many thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre, especially 2 West. Your loving care was most appreciated. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
