Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN PAWLUK December 20, 1931 - May 30, 2000 Surrounded by his loving wife and children John completed his journey here on earth after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife and best friend, Bonnie; his children, John (Vicky), Patti (Bob), Dawn (Craig) and Lori; his grandchildren, John, Josh, Jaymes and Jordan, Robbie, Pam and Jayson, Casey and Reid. John is also survived by his brothers, Peter, Mike (Rose), Bill (Nellie), Ed (Joyce) and Ernie (Phyllis) sisters, Polly, Jean, Elsie (Victor) and Sophie (Clarence) sister-in-law Elsie and brothers-in-law, Don and Mike. John was born and raised on the Pawluk homestead in the Melnice area where he lived and farmed until his passing. He touched the lives and hearts of many people through the many organizations and activities that he took part in. John was a lifetime member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church; a 47 year member of the Winnipeg Beach Curling Club and a board member of the Winnipeg Beach Ukrainian Homestead for several years. Aside from the time he cherished spending with family and friends, John enjoyed singing in the church choir and had a special fondness for Ukrainian music and dance. He will be remembered for his gentle and kind nature and his love for life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Beach Ukrainian Homestead or to a charity of choice. Prayers will be said on Monday, June 5 at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Winnipeg Beach at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Winnipeg Beach, Tuesday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Peter Chorney and Fr. Harry Oliynek officiating. Interment at St. Williams Cemetery. Dad/Dedo, in our minds and hearts you died a hero. Although physically you have left us, your memory and spirit will continue to live on in all of us, your children and grandchildren.
