JOHN T. FRIESEN On Thursday, June 1, 2000, Mr. John T. Friesen of Grunthal, passed away at the Menno Home for the Aged in Grunthal at the age of 93 years. He leaves to cherish his memory seven sons, John (Nettie) of Grunthal, Diedrich (Maxine) of Pentiction, B.C., Jake (Eleanor) of Grunthal, Abe (Martha) of Steinbach, Niel (Susan) of Niverville, Ben (Grace) of Sarto, Bill (Jean) of Sarto; one daughter Jessie (Bill) Braun of Grunthal; one daughter-in-law Margaret Friesen of Steinbach, 44 grandchildren and their spouses, 55 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Frank, Diedrich and Isbrand; three sisters, Agatha, Tina, Nettie and their spouses, many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Justina in 1989; two sons, George and Peter; one daughter-in-law Sarah; three grandchildren, Kurt, Elma and David Friesen. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bergthaler Church in Grunthal with Pastor Abe Funk officiating. Interment will follow in the Grunthal Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 3 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel and at the church prior to the service.
