KAREN MURIEL MURRAY Karen Muriel Murray, born December 20, 1948 in Portage la Prairie, Man., passed away peacefully on June 1, 2000. She is survived by her loving husband Richard and their three children, Shawna, Shelly and Keith; brothers, Bert (Linda, John, David) and Bill (Connie, Chris and Adrienne) Alton. She is predeceased by her sister Patsy, mother Muriel and father Bill Alton. Karen was a caring nurse, a loving mother, a devoted wife and a loyal friend to many. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Lions Gate Hospital for their exceptional care and to all their friends for the love and support they have shown over the last two years. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd., N. Vancouver, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Karen Murray.
