RHODA JACKSON Rhoda Jackson, late of Middlechurch Nursing Home, entered into rest June 1, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband Quincy in 1978 and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ruth and Philip of Winnipeg, Phyllis of Victoria and Charles of Laguna Beach, California. Her son-in-law Joseph Sklover was especially loved and daughters-in-law, Karen and Sydney; as well as her older sister Anne of Middlechurch, Winnipeg; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many extended family and friends. Rhoda was born in Winnipeg and she and her husband raised their family in numerous communities - Norway House, The Pas, Ottawa, Selkirk, Dauphin, Brandon and Winnipeg until her husbands retirement with the Federal Government, Dept. of Indian Affairs. She was always very giving of her time, both with Brownies and The Womens Auxillary of the Anglican Church, wherever she lived. Rhoda loved life, books, music, gardens and animals. She was a free spirit, with much inner strength. Rhoda was the best mother and grandmother and a wonderful friend who will be missed by all who knew her. We were truly blessed. We would like to extend a very special thanks to all of the gifted caregivers of Middlechurch Home for their excellent care and nurturing and especially Mickey, Lynda and Marie. A memorial service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, Monday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rhodas memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, R2L 1X3 THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
