Kauenhofen, 79 years, of Winkler, went to his eternal rest. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Helen (nee: Penner) of Winkler; one daughter Marjorie and husband Leonard Fehr of Gladstone; five sons, Rubin and wife Ruth of Morden, Peter and wife Marilyn of Winnipeg, Frank and wife Irene of Winnipeg, Abe and wife Marianne of Winkler, Jack and wife Arlene of Brandon; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandson and one great-grandson. Viewing will be at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held today, Sunday June 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church Winkler, 1111 Southview Dr. West with Pastor Fraser Coltman officiating. Interment will follow at the Chortitz Old Colony Church Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
