KENNETH (KEN) FERGUSON August 11, 1922 - June 1, 2000 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Ferguson on Thursday, June 1, 2000 at the Victoria General Hospital, age 77 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife Doris; his son Kenneth (Pat) of Tata Creek, BC and his brother Len (Betty) of Colorado Springs. Ken was predeceased by his parents. Ken was born and educated in the Fort Rouge area of Winnipeg. He was a great sports enthusiast and participator in the Winnipeg hockey system as a youth. He was a great fan of the Blue Bombers and other professional sports. During the Second World War, Ken served in the R.C.A.F. and spent most of his military career in Great Britain during the Air War. Ken and Doris were partners in building a cottage at Falcon Lake. They cultivated many friendships at the lake which they cherished. Ken was an avid fisherman and spent many hours with his buddies on Falcon Lake and surrounding lakes. Ken was a devoted Salesman for Samsonite Luggage for over thirty years, which gave him the opportunity to travel extensively. Ken was a great communicator and made many friends where ever he went. He will be missed by many people. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Roland Hayward and also the attending staff of the Victoria Hospital. In keeping with Kens wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will take place Monday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Reception Room, 1501 Waverley St. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
