MICHAEL (MIKE) TYMKO It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Tymko on Friday, June 2, 2000 at the Beausejour Hospital at the age of 88 years. Mike was born in Allegra, MB on August 16, 1911 and resided at Stoney Plains Seniors Residence, Beausejour for the past several years. He is survived by Helen, his beloved wife of 67 years; son Donald and his wife Beatrice, their children Lynne (Russell), Timothy (Tannis), Wendy (Bruce), Daniel (Nicole), Susan (Thomas) son David and his wife Eileen, their children, Pamela (Michael), Curtis, and 12 lovely great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Joseph of Beausejour. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Mary, sisters, Christina Semchuk and Anne Basarabowich and two brothers in infancy. Mike was a self-made man of many talents and a strong work ethic, all characteristics he instilled in his family. He was very proud of his sons, their children and grandchildren and their various attributes. Prayers will be said on Monday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour. Divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6 at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB, Rev. John Sholdak the celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Beausejour District Hospital, Beausejour, MB.
