WILLIAM FRUCK Peacefully, on Saturday, June 3, 2000 at the Boyne Lodge in Carman, MB., beloved husband of Peggy Fruck of Elm Creek, MB. Bill was born on October 12, 1909 in Winnipeg, MB. After living briefly in Sperling, the family moved to the Fannystelle area where they farmed. He married Margaret (Peggy) Martens on October 11, 1940. They farmed south of Fannystelle until 1962 when they moved to Elm Creek. Bill became custodian at Elm Creek School until retirement in 1974, but his most enjoyable years were spent going to work with Jim at the Starbuck School where he became the resident Grandpa. He did this until his health forced him to quit. Bill leaves to mourn his death his loving wife Peggy; three sons, Ernie of Regina, SK, Jim of Elm Creek and Ken (Sandra) of Lac du Bonnet; one daughter Kathy (Sonny) Twiss of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba; seven grandchildren, Danny (Kim), Arlus (Julie), Rhonda (Larry), Aaron, Dianne (Donny), Chris (Roxanne), Darrell (Solesta) and five great-grandchildren, Janell, Austin, Jaden, Dylan and Devon. Also surviving are one brother John of St. Adolphe, MB.; two sisters Elsie Underwood of Carman and Lily Shirritt of Victoria, B.C.; a sister-in-law Joyce of Carman and many nieces and nephews, including special niece Eileen and Kermey Olson and family. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Katherine, one sister Eda and two brothers Jack and Sam. Funeral service will be held from the Grace Lutheran Church in Carman, MB. on Tuesday, June 6th at 2:00 p.m. with pastors Jim Halmarson and Brad Elliott officiating. Prayers and viewing will be held on Monday, June 5th at Doyles Funeral Home in Carman, MB at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Elm Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 910 Carman, MB. R0G 0J0. Doyles Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.
