CHARLES WILLIAM CUSTANCE Peacefully on the morning of Saturday, June 3, 2000, Charles William Custance passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 82. Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elsie; sons, Robert, Ted, and George (Barbara) and grandchildren, John and Dawna. Charles retired from the Department of Transport in 1983. He was a member of the Masons, Canadian Merchant Mariner Veterans, and long time active member of the Deer Lodge United Church. One may search the length and breadth of this country, nay this world, and they would never find a better father than you. May not one day but all days be a fathers day between a loving father and devoted sons. For you have guided us all our lives to follow in your footsteps. The family extends their appreciation to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, Deer Lodge Centre, and Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made to the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Avenue, R3J 0L2, or to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Avenue with Reverend Peter Denton officiating.
