NELL DEBROWSKI Peacefully, on Friday, June 2, 2000 surrounded by family Mom passed away. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1985. Mom will be forever remembered by her family, daughter Diane (Keith), son Ted (Penny), son Charles, and adopted son Bob. She will also be missed by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one brother, Peter Majcher of B.C. Mom was born and raised in Brandon, MB, daughter of Stephen and Michelina Majcher, and was one of 14 children. Mom moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Dad. As a life-time resident of Point Douglas and the North End, Mom was extremely active in numerous sports activities, The Sutherland Mission, Norquay School, and a President of the Catholic Womens League (old Immaculate Conception). Later she worked for Chinese Food Catering Service and was recognized as the "Chinese Food Lady" wherever she went. She gained a second family with her employers, Ben and Helen Lim and their family. In her later years she enjoyed wintering in New Mexico. The family is extremely grateful to Beryl, Lucy and Josie as well as all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for all of their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Manitoba Cancer Foundation. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street, Tuesday, June 6 at 1:00 p.m. Moms last words were to tell everyone she loved them. We will always remember your kindness, humour, and love. Rest in peace now that you have joined Dad. VICHNAYA PAMYAT
