NORMAN GRAHAM SIMPSON On Friday, June 2 at Riverview Health Centre, peacefully passed away with his family by his side. Norman was born July 1, 1915, in Newcastle-on-Tyne, England. Predeceased by his parents, two brothers, George and Alan, and three sisters, Jessie Cass. Jennie and Evelyn Simpson. Survived by his wife of 58 years Alyce; son Graham Simpson (Lola) of Edmonton and daughter Marilyn Stewart (George) of Brandon; six grandchildren, Nancy and Peter Stewart, Jennifer Nichols, Ryan, Reagan and Susan Simpson. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant he joined the RAF during the Second World War. He came to Canada in 1941 to Swift Current, Saskatchewan where he met and married his wife. Following the war he joined the Hudson Bay Company and rose to the position of Comptroller of the Northern Stores. He retired in 1976 and enjoyed his garden, music and his family. A special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre, especially Barb and Diane for their compassion and excellent care, and to VON nurses Norma and Nancy. Cremation has taken place, and services will take place on Wednesday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined.
