ALEC (ILKO) ORYNIAK On Wednesday, May 31, 2000 after a long battle with cancer, Alec (Ilko) Oryniak of the Fisher Branch Chalet, Fisher Branch, MB passed away at the age of 84 years. Alec is survived by his brothers, Wasyl and Ivan Oryniak; his sister Anna Slusarchuk and their families. He will be remembered by his many farmer friends, where he worked during his younger years before retiring. He lived just a mile from town where he maintained a wonderful yard and garden. Later Alec purchased a small home in town and continued his hobby of gardening. His place of residence was truly a pleasure to behold. During his spare time he was seen driving through the countryside with his neighbour Bronyk, often visiting many oldtime friends. A very quiet honest man, Alec was a religious, hard working soul. At his request, cremation has been held. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at the Fisher Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Wesley Barrett. The service will terminate at the chapel. He will forever be remembered by all his friends, especially John and Paul and his many home care workers. VICHNAYA PAMYAT Arrangements in care of Fisher Funeral Home 1-204-372-6271 Fisher Branch, MB. THANK YOU At his request the late Alec (Ilko) Oryniak would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the different hospitals with a special thank you to his many neighbours and friends, especially his home care workers, two of which he referred to as his Guardian Angels.
