HILDA JOHNSON 1917 - 2000 On Saturday, June 3, 2000 at the Portage General Hospital, our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother left all the pain and suffering. Leaving to mourn her is her family, daughter Eleanor and husband Stanley of Portage, son Clifford, daughter-in-law Berniece of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Donna and David; great-grandson Nicholas of Toronto, Ronald and Lynne and great-granddaughter Brittany of Williams Lake, B.C.; one sister Edna Henshell of Thunder Bay, Ont. She was predeceased by our beloved father Stanley; her brothers, William Knapp of Winnipeg, Andy Knapp of Toronto; her sisters, Violet Pommer of Winnipeg; Helen Ricker of Seven Sisters. Hilda was born in Seven Sisters, Man. After marrying Stanley her busy life included working as a nurse and co-owner of Valley Motor Lodge, Minnedosa, Man. She then retired to a smaller business in Holland, Man. Just for fun, Hilda sold western boots at Fairs and Rodeos travelling across Western Canada. Hilda and Stanley owned Portage Shoe Sales in Portage la Prairie and Beausejour. They finally retired and resided in Portage la Prairie. Cremation took place on June 5. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044
