JOHANNA HUFF Johanna Huff, nee Scholl, was born in Zdunska-Wola, Poland on September 12, 1906. In 1908, Johanna, her father Julius, her mother Karoline, and brother Karl moved to Kalisz, Poland. After her parents death in 1926 and 1932 respectively, Johanna remained there until after the war raising her 3 younger siblings and one older handicapped brother. Johanna immigrated to Winnipeg in 1953 to join her brother Heinz and his family. In 1954 she married Henry Huff, who predeceased her in 1995, after 41 years of marriage. Johanna is survived by her sister Ruth Rappak and sons, Wojtek and Peter and their families, niece Ruth Fuller and husband Michael and family. Family viewing to take place Tuesday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel. Funeral service Wednesday, June 7, 12:30 p.m. at McDermot Avenue Baptist Church, corner of McDermot and Techumseh. Transcona Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Should family and friends so desire, donations may be made, in Johannas memory, to the McDermot Avenue Baptist Church for the Polish Seminary in Radosc.
