JOSEPH L. CHARRIERE It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Joseph L. Charriere, after a courageous battle with cancer and with his family by his side at the Ste. Anne Hospital in Ste. Anne, MB on Sunday, June 4, 2000 at the age of 76 years. Joseph will be dearly missed by his wife Rita Charriere (nee Tougas) his children, Denise (Gerald), Roland (Diane) of Coquitlam, BC, Gisele (Jacques), Louis (Colleen), Robert (Patricia), and Roger (Carrie) grandchildren, Yvan and Jo-Anne St. Vincent, Carrie and Lise Charriere of Coquitlam, Celeste and Guy St. Vincent, Kirsten, Jesse and Paige Charriere, Janelle, Bryanne and Danica Charriere, Tyler and Quinn Charriere, Melissa, Shawn and Kristen Charriere; great-grandchildren, Karly and Haley St. Vincent. He is also survived by his brothers, Aime, Clement, Paul, and Andre and by his sisters, Emma, Alice, Therese and Simone. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Emma Charriere, and by his daughter Marie and son Denis. Jos was happily retired and lived life to its fullest. He had a great love for his family which was his pride and joy. With his kind spirit and generous heart, he was well known for always lending a helping hand whenever help was needed. His family is what he lived for and he demonstrated this at every family gathering by uniting us as one. Funeral services for Joseph will be held at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Ste. Anne, MB on Wednesday, June 7. Prayer service and viewing will be held at 1:30 p.m. Fathers Edouard Bonin and Leonce Aubin will concelebrate the funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. The service will terminate at the church. Cremation will follow. Private interment of Josephs cremated remains will take place in the Ste. Anne Parish Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Josephs memory to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, R3E 9Z9 or to the Villa Youville, 208 ave.
