Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH HERBERT RUSSELL Mr. Kenneth Herbert Russell of Moose Jaw, Sask., passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 2, 2000 at the age of 62 years. Born February 2, 1938 in Lac du Bonnet, Man., Ken received his education at Park Avenue Elementary School, Lac du Bonnet Collegiate and Assiniboine Community College in Brandon. He married Ethel Sarah Smith in 1963. Ken worked as an operator for Winnipeg Hydro at Pointe du Bois, Man., was Territory Service Manager for White Farm Equipment, had been employed with Saskatchewan Department of Highways and later accepted a position as Department Head with SIAST Wascana in the Agriculture Mechanics Division. Ken was a Past President of Pointe du Bois Community Club and was a charter Member and Past President of the Snowmobile Club. Ken enjoyed woodworking, camping, golfing and gardening and will be remembered for his gentle disposition and sense of humour. Predeceased by his parents, a sister Irene Schlechter, a brother Gordon; two brothers-in-law Bill Schlechter and Ken Pelk, a nephew Donald Russell and a niece Michelle Madsen. Ken is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Ethel; son Rick (Myrna) of Moose Jaw; a daughter Tammy (Rob) Rossie of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Chris and Lisa Russell of Moose Jaw, Chris, Paige and Marrisa Rossie of Winnipeg; brothers Jim (Carol) of Prince Albert and Bill of Ignace, Ont.; a sister Patricia of Texas; step-father Bill Newham of Moose Jaw as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, Irma (Cy) Howard of Winnipeg, Margaret (Wally) Madsen of Okotoks, Alta., Dora Pelk of Riding Mountain, Man., Judy (Ron) Plett of Lloydminister and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Following cremation, A Celebration of Kens Life will be held at the W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Wednesday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. Della Ferguson will officiate. Family memorialization will take place at Prairie Memorial Columbarium, Moose Jaw at a later time. Memorials for the Canadian Cancer Society, 223 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, Sask., S6H 0E1 would be appreciated. W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Donald Jones Funeral Director.
