He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Donald in 1991. Dennis was born in Winnipeg on June 25, 1952. He had always lived in Manitoba. For many years he taught drivers education, owning and operating his own driving school before his recent position at Lorsie Pork in Rosenort. Dennis and Janine had finally realized their dream of owning a country home. His family gave him the greatest joy in life. He always took great pride in his daughters and spent much time with them. Pallbearers will be his brothers-in-law, Norm, Wilmar, Hans, Paul, Ken and his friend Pete Legasse. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Mary Mother of Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, with viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Dennis memory to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 3J2. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Though your smile is gone forever, And your hand we cannot touch, We will never lose the memory Of one we loved so much. Thanks for the loving years you gave us, The happy time we share. We all pray that when you left us, You knew how much we cared Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one. The chain will be linked again.
