Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA ELIZABETH STARR NEEBETAH BENASEEK November 8, 1953- June 4, 2000 On the Sabbath day of June 4, 2000 the Creator saw and said "come with me my precious child I will take your pain and sorrow away, your dad is waiting for you to be by his side. Mom was predeceased by her dad Jack, brothers Barry and Albert, grandmothers Marianne and Martha, and uncles David and James Kent. Left to cherish her memory are children, Christine (Terry), Bill, Ricky (Jen) grandchildren, Becky, B.J. Bryan and Sara; special friend forever, Peter and his children Brian and Candace; ex-husband Dorian; mother Mary; sisters, Gladys (Yvan), Rose (Don), Aldeen, Darlene (Neil), Margaret (Phil), Shirley (Roger) and Claudette (Jim) brothers Brian (Zelma) and Byron (Debra) special aunt Lillian (Henri), whom she called mom; God children Kelvin and Sandy; special cousins, Alma, Claude (Georgina), small Pam, best bud, Janet; uncles, Joe (Grace), Doug (Mabel), Robert (Noella), Simon (Pat) and William (Noella) auntie Diane; brothers-in-law, John, Reg and Steve; sister-in-law Venise; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who came to know her. Mom loved meeting people. Her knowledge and understanding in her gift of the Ojibway dialect enabled her to be employed as a native interpreter with Southeast for many years, and until recently with Amik Transportation. Mom always made her heart and home open to family and friends who needed a place to call home. Wake services will be held at the family home in Sagkeeng, house 27, South Shore. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m., with Father Paradis officiating. Cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be her brothers-in-law. Honorary Pallbearers are, Bill, Ricky, Kelvin, Brian, Byron, Claude and Brian Campbell Jr. The family would like to thank Dr. Williams, the staff of GD2 and SICU of the Health Sciences Centre who made Moms final days here on earth comfortable. The family would also like to say Kitchi Meegwetch to Girlie (Caroline Bruyere) who was with us from the onset of Moms condition. How do you say good-bye to a person, who is not only your mother, but also your friend. Sadly the time has come for your journey in life to end. You have raised us, taught us wrong from right From you we have learned Our futures will always be bright You were sometimes strict But always fair Good times and bad times We knew that you always cared Even though now we wont be Able to see you anywhere In our hearts your love Will always be there So until the day that we are No longer apart Know that youll always live in our hearts So through all our sorrow And tears we cry Our Mom was a beautiful person Whom we loved with all our hearts Her memory will be cherished forever We love you Mom Until we meet again.
